With the rise of the digital age, both libraries and their patrons have had to adapt to the changes in the literature world. Many readers read things exclusively through digital means, such as Kindles. Other readers are a mix of both, while some prefer to stick with physical books. One of the issues with this is that libraries have had to expand their digital collection in order to appeal to those who only read digitally. One way libraries have done that is through digital or mobile library technology, such as applications like Libby. According to the article "Optimizing Library Services — Factors in Integrating Mobile Library Technologies: A Focus Group Study in the United Arab Emirates", there are a few things to consider when developing mobile library technology. The article states, "The first theme proposed was the perceived value that the context of mobile libraries involved...Perceived ease of use, the second broad theme, was also proposed to affect the behavioral intention to use mobile library technology...Finally, the results highlighted the role of trial-ability in mobile library adoption" ( Alfaresi). All of these factors, along with others, must be considered when trying to find the mobile library service that best fits a library's community.
